Tomorrow at Noon our 4 man team will be running from the start line to our bikes and riding the 10 mile single track, through the woods, mountain bike trail at Winona Lake, Warsaw. We could cover as much as 300 miles in the 24 hours. The winners last year finished 280 miles but with a 6 man team. So like a relay we will each ride a lap or two then "tag" off in the transition area and the next person will do his lap(s). In between laps we'll have a camp site set up with tents and food and fun and relaxing.
Simply signing up for this race sealed our spot at the first place mtb team in the state! We are very excited about that. We also ended up with some individual state champions and national off road bike association (NORBA) champions.
Jeff Frame ranked 1st in the state in Sport and 7th in the Nation in his age group
Jeff Bracket ranked 2nd in the state in Beginner and 1st in the Nation in his age group
I ranked 2nd in the state in Sport and 1st in the Nation in my age group!
It was a really fun season. We plan to do more recruiting of sponsors soon since we have stats to flaunt! But we will have a little celebration next week at the Heorot, one of our faithful sponsors for this year.
