Boise or Bust!

Boise, ID was great. We went to see if God was leading us to consider this as a potential move location and church plant when our time is up here in Muncie and he definitely spoke to us. It wasn't through the great landscape, or the great people or the connection with creation right out our backdoor but it was from a conversation at Big City Coffee Shop. I was writing my prayers in my journal saying that I would really like to connect with a leader from the Vineyard Church in town, who seems to be doing some good things, to get the spiritual pulse on the city and see how churches are cooperating together and if a new church plant would be welcomed. And not five minutes after writing that prayer guess who walks up to our table... One of the worship leaders from Vineyard Church! He noticed Jen was reading "The Shack" which he was also reading and when he mentioned he was from the Vineyard I was blown away and told him I was just praying that I could talk to someone there. He began to tell me about what they're doing in the city and how they are partnering with a couple churches to feed the hungry and house the poor. He mentioned that the city is generally friendly toward the church and that the City could really use a good church in the heart of the City (just where Jen and I wanted to be). It was simply amazing how God showed us He was in this pursuit and discovery of where we are to be after Muncie. Needless to say, Boise will continue to be in our prayers and our ears attentive to God's voice as it pertains to that City. Enjoy the pics!
